Terms of Service

Effective July 11, 2026

These terms govern your use of the Overload iOS application and the overloadai.app website (together, the “Service”), operated by Overload (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use the Service.

Plain-language summary: pay only through the App Store, cancel anytime and keep access to the end of the paid period, your training data stays yours, and Overload is fitness programming — not medical advice.

1. The Service

Overload generates personalized strength-training programs using a deterministic programming engine, and provides AI-generated coaching explanations and plan adjustments on top of that engine. We may update, improve, or discontinue features over time.

2. Not medical advice

Overload provides general fitness programming and educational information. It is not medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or physical therapy, and it is not a substitute for advice from a qualified health professional. Consult a physician before starting any exercise program, and stop and seek medical attention if you experience pain, dizziness, or other concerning symptoms. Strength training carries inherent risk; you train at your own risk and are responsible for using appropriate equipment, loads, and form.

3. Accounts

You need an account (Sign in with Apple or Google) to sync your program and history. You’re responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your sign-in method secure. You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.

4. Subscriptions

Overload is a paid subscription (weekly, monthly, or yearly), billed exclusively through Apple’s App Store on the terms shown at purchase.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, per App Store rules.
Cancel anytime in the app (You → Manage subscription) or in iOS Settings → Subscriptions. You keep access until the end of the period you paid for.
Refunds are handled by Apple (reportaproblem.apple.com). If we caused a billing problem, contact support@overloadai.app and we’ll help.
Prices may change; changes apply only to renewals after notice through the App Store.

5. Your content and data

Your training data — logged sets, program state, quiz answers — belongs to you. You grant us the limited license needed to store and process it to run the Service (see the Privacy Policy). You can delete your account and cloud data in the app at any time.

6. AI-generated content

Coaching explanations, reviews, and replanning suggestions are generated with the help of large language models, constrained by our programming engine. They can occasionally be imperfect. Loads and set schemes always come from the deterministic engine, and every AI-proposed plan change requires your explicit acceptance — but you remain responsible for deciding what is appropriate for your body and situation.

7. Acceptable use

Don’t abuse the Service: no reverse engineering, scraping, reselling, disrupting, or using it to build a competing dataset; no attempting to access other users’ data; no unlawful use. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.

8. Intellectual property

The Service — including the app, engine, brand, and content other than your training data — is owned by us or our licensors. These terms don’t grant you any rights to it beyond normal use of the app.

9. Disclaimers and liability

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted availability. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — including injury resulting from training decisions. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the Service evolves. For material changes we’ll give notice in the app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept them.
